If you are flying in from out of town, several airports service the area:
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX): This is the most popular airport in the area, with similar traffic to O'Hare or JFK. LAX is located about 16 miles south of Yamashiro Hollywood. It will offer the most flight options. This is a busy airport with lots of traffic.
Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR): Burbank Airport is smaller and could be more convenient for those flying domestically, especially if you're within California or the Western United States (if LAX is O'Hare, Burbank is Midway).. It's north of Yamashiro Hollywood and about 7.3 miles to the north.
Long Beach Airport (LGB): Situated about 32.7 miles south of Yamashiro, Long Beach Airport is another smaller option, often quieter and easier to navigate than LAX.
John Wayne Airport (SNA): Located in Orange County, about 47.7 miles south of Yamashiro, this is another alternative, particularly convenient for those staying in the southern parts of Los Angeles.
Transportation from the Airport:
Once you land, there are several ways to reach your destination:
Ride-sharing Services: Uber and Lyft are widely available at all major airports. LAX has a designated pick-up area called "LAX-it," while other airports offer pick-up at the arrivals curb.
Rental Cars: All airports have rental car facilities if you prefer to have your own vehicle during your stay. Be sure to book in advance, especially during peak travel times.
Shuttle Services: Many hotels offer complimentary airport shuttles, particularly those near LAX and BUR. Check with your hotel for availability.
Public Transit: If you’re looking for a budget-friendly option, public transit is available, though it may be [much] less convenient. From LAX, for example, the FlyAway Bus can take you to various locations in Los Angeles, and Metro services can connect you to different parts of the city.
Travel Time:
Los Angeles traffic can be unpredictable, so allow plenty of time when traveling to and from the airport. During peak hours (7-10 AM and 4-7 PM), the drive could take significantly longer. We recommend checking traffic conditions on your travel day.
